Almas Tower: A jewel in Dubai’s skyline

14 Oct 2024

Almas Tower, the centerpiece of the Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), is a striking 63-floor skyscraper located on its own island. Its diamond-shaped design reflects Dubai's ambition to become one of the top five diamond trading hubs in the world. Following the tower's completion, Dubai emerged as the third-best diamond trade center globally.

This commercial high-rise is home to various businesses, including the Dubai Diamond Exchange, Dubai Pearl Exchange, and Dubai Gems Club, making it a vital part of the gemstone industry. It also serves as the corporate office for the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a leading free zone known for its award-winning global commodities trading.

Designed by Atkins, Almas Tower was completed in 2008 and offers over 789,238 square feet of office space, with floor plates varying from 7,000 to 14,000 square feet. The tower is
equipped with 35 elevators and provides parking at a ratio of 1 space per 600 square feet.

The DMCC is not just a commercial zone; it also features residential, retail, and dining options, along with public parks and multiple lakes. JLT itself boasts over 12 million square feet of office space and nearly 14,500 residential units, creating a vibrant mixed-use community in the heart of Dubai.
