The design, inspired by regional desert flora and Islamic architecture, employs a sculpted concrete core with glass cladding. Its innovative setbacks create a spire, reducing mass and
allowing the building to withstand wind forces. Developed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the structure incorporates features to facilitate smooth construction and minimize wind vortices.
Inside, the Burj Khalifa offers over 3 million square feet of luxurious space, blending technology with cultural influences. High-end materials like Venetian stucco and silver travertine adorn the interiors, complemented by an extensive art collection featuring over 500 works from local and international artists.
The Burj Khalifa also prioritizes sustainability with its advanced mechanical and plumbing systems. Its high-performance curtain wall enhances energy efficiency while ensuring occupant comfort.
With 160 stories, 304 hotel rooms, and 577 residential units, the Burj Khalifa stands as a symbol of architectural innovation and sustainable design.
