Intuit Dome, located in Inglewood, California, is the stunning new home of the NBA’s LA Clippers. Designed by AECOM and opened on August 15, 2024, this innovative arena redefines the live sports experience with a groundbreaking approach to fan experience, sustainability, and community impact.
The 17,800-seat venue is crafted to bring fans closer to the action, with advanced sightlines and spacious seating. The arena features “The Wall,” a dedicated fan section behind the visiting team’s bench, and an expansive halo-shaped LED scoreboard, making every moment of the game an unforgettable experience. A focus on efficiency and comfort ensures that guests enjoy easy access to amenities, including 120 restrooms—more than any other NBA venue.
But Intuit Dome is much more than a sports venue. The project is built with a commitment to sustainability, securing LEED Platinum certification. A unique gridshell enclosure and energy-efficient PTFE and ETFE panels offer natural ventilation, reducing energy consumption while enhancing the comfort of the visitors. Powered entirely by solar energy, Intuit Dome is a fully electric venue, pushing the boundaries of what a modern arena can achieve in environmental performance.
Community engagement is at the heart of Intuit Dome’s design, with a $100 million benefits package focused on improving local schools, housing, infrastructure, and creating new job opportunities. Located on previously underutilized land, the arena not only transforms the landscape but also plays a pivotal role in the ongoing revitalization of Inglewood. The project created over 7,000 jobs during construction and will contribute to a booming local economy, with up to 1,500 permanent positions.
Designed for the future, Intuit Dome is poised to become a vital hub of entertainment and civic pride, setting a new standard for sports and performing arts venues worldwide.
