PIF Tower

14 Oct 2024

In Riyadh, the PIF Tower is making waves as the centerpiece of the King Abdullah Financial District. Soaring 385 meters (1,260 feet) high, this iconic tower, designed by HOK and
Omrania, represents a new era of financial leadership in the region.

The tower’s design promotes transparency and openness, echoing the cultural significance of crystals found in the Saudi deserts. Its innovative structure includes external fins and panels that enhance thermal efficiency, while a high-performance solar control system moderates the intense heat and light.

With an area of 1,980,000 sq. feet and 80 stories, the tower is vertically organized into three office blocks separated by sky lobbies. Its crystalline shape minimizes wind vortex shedding, and the integration of Thyssenkrup’s TWIN elevator system maximizes usable floor area.

The PIF Tower is also on track for LEED Gold certification, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and modern design.

Together, the Makkah Royal Clock Tower and PIF Tower exemplify Saudi Arabia's architectural ambition and commitment to innovation, making the kingdom a prominent player on the global stage.
